Tail Fin Angle - Tail now straight

Post by Roland Kriening » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:43 pm

After 2 hours of work, I now have a tail that is straight. I drilled out the
nine rivets, and I could easily move the spar attach 1/2" or so. I put a
doubler both on the front and back of the bulkhead for added strength and to
catch the new holes. I may also put a small dorsal fin on the front of the
tail for additional strength... oh yeh and I like the way it looks.

For those of you who have yet to mount your tail... definitely keep it
straight.

Roland, I've also been keeping an eye on development of the Viking,
and look forward to seeing how it works for you. As someone who is
happy he chose an engine that, so far as I know, is only the second
example on a Rebel so far, I applaud and support your innovation.

Get that fin to neutral, and go for it! :)

Ron
