would be a MUCH better starting point. I haven't taken a real serious look
at the position but have a feeling that the front and diagonal struts can be
used as is with some creative "pork chop" manufacturing and the rear strut
may need to be made to suit the Moose. The front gear mount area is about
the same on a C185 in relation to the wing leading edge as the Moose. What
ever you do.. DO NOT .. cut those certified struts, they are worth way too
much money. Get some raw streamline and make a new strut for what ever
changes you may need to make.
I have a complete set of EDO 3500 amphibs here.. from tires right up thru
C185 struts.. to pump, lines and gear selector .. but you probably wouldn't
like the price I need for them just to break even. Used on the C185 in the
movie Trapped (24 hours) with Courtney Love and Kevin Bacon. (not the
airplane they crashed on the highway! LOL) Only about 10 landings, after a
complete refurb for the movie, but they couldn't leave them on the 185F as
they are only certified on the E's and below.

Subject: [rebel-builders] Anphib's for the Moose
I'm looking at set of anphib's for the Moose. I have my eye on a couple
out there, one with 185 rigging and the other with 206 rigging, both look
good and a fair price.
Question is : For the moose, am I better off with one or the other? Or
does it even matter?
Thanks
Kelly ( Moose)
