However the upgrade to 1650 lb did involve increasing the main gear leg
to 1.25" square tube and inserting short 1" square tube pieces in the
top end to match the width of the fuselage brackets.

A fellow Rebel owner was mentioning to me the fact that there is supposed to be a doubler (a second square tube) inside the main gear leg. I have kit #207, purchased originally in 1992. I looked in my 1998 version of the manual and it lists this part. My kit inventory list doesn't list it. Does anyone have info on this? Should I be finding a tube to put inside mine?
