cable guide rivets and rudder cables

Post by mikeh » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:19 pm

Hi Jesse,
I hope I got your name right. I've also been aiming to "bury" my
cables under the floor and have found a way, using pulleys up front and
some small plastic electrical conduit passing through the bulkheads to
achieve this for the elevator cables, thus achieving a clean floor. As my
fuselage has progressed I had started to think doing the same with the
rudder cables was going to be a bit difficult and have been thinking of
doing something like Roger Hoffman did. Part of the reason for thinking
this was that the cables needed to cross over, or extra uprights would need
to be welded to the pedal assembly for the cables to attach.
Your post comes at the right time for me. Any chance of posting a few
photos?
I have also been thinking of using some Cessna brake pedals grafted
onto the Murphy rudder pedals as part of the mod.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Cheers Mike 818R
