Hi All !!

An addition to the discussion about defroster setups:

Just received this week's Canadian Tire sale catalogue -
page 43 has a 12 volt heater/defroster designed to plug into a
cigarette lighter, that pulls 10 amps ! Not too powerful, but
just right to plop up on the top of the panel as a defroster,
and it sells for $19.99 until Dec. 1 !!

Sounds like a real easy Q&D solution - worth a try, anyway !
(Maybe get a pair ?!! :-) )

Hi Charles !

Canadian Tire is a HUGE national chain - there are at least
4 stores in Brampton alone !! Every town has at least one ...

They are online, at: www.canadiantire.com - the heater
is listed under online specials, automotive. I'm not sure how you
will make out ordering - they have provision for membership online,
or by postal code, but I don't know if it will accept zip codes.
Worth a try, though !!

Let us know if you're successful - it might save many folks
in the USA a lot of time searching (and a bunch of money, given the
50 % ++ discount on our dollar !!!). CTC has a huge catalogue of
parts and accessories - we often joke about calling them the
"Canadian Tire and Aircraft Supplies Store" !! :-)
