Bernard, another point about the cowl, if you go with the Murphy fiberglass
one. Get a 2.5 inch (instead of the standard 2.0 inch one) spacer on your
Sensenich prop. This will give more clearance on your inlets and help with
your cooling. And as has been said here many times before, be sure to make
the exit area much larger, to avoid serious cooling problems on amphibs with
this cowl. And if you can, make the inlets a little larger, too, top to
bottom of the two halves. Even 1 inch will make a big difference.
