Self etching epoxy-primer (2 parts). Visit a body shop supply and ask
them.

Just picked up an early Rebel kit that came with an old can of stits epoxy
chromate primer. What is the best primer to use these days? At this point I
just want to cover all mating surfaces.

[rebel-builders] Epoxy Chromate Primer

To add to this, we are using a Dupont product of this type, Corlar, I
don't remember the P/N but it will be in a posting in the archive.
Talked to Dupont & it is their recommendation.

It comes in a chromate version and chromate free, we buy it at our local
UAP/NAPA.
