Curt,

Thanks for the advice on balancing the prop. I will look into that. I've heard other guys say the same thing.

G'day Rick,
I know we are a long way away but just to set the record straight (how you say.....for the uninitiated), even though the States tend to think of us as just one more state we really aren't! ;^)
Actually I am looking forward to visiting your "little" part of the world in November. My SO has a conference in Adelaide and we plan to do a bit of touring to undecided locations afterward.

Hey Rick,
I've flown over your GAFA and survived!! AUS would better qualify as a donut ;-).
Anyone not knowing what GAFA is can redirect to Rick. Basically, Great Australian FA (nothing). That being the whole middle of Aus from ~100 miles inland of the coast. Hey, unroll the donut and you'd have Canada.
And what's this;
...........same / land mass size as the US (minus Alaska & Canada) ............
I'm sure you weren't implying Canada is part of the US, at least not yet! Or do you know something I/we don't? Most probably you included that for the benefit of the Americans..Ouch! I'll be keeping my head low..........
Still haven't been back to SYD since our last failed hook up. I'm going to Canberra for an ATSB Human Factors course for accident investigators for the week 28 Oct to 1 Nov. Plan on staying on the Univ Campus. Will RON MEL 26 Oct and 1 Nov due to poor domestic connections.
Anyone in CAN or MEL then?
Dave,
Where are you in NS? We're thinking of buying a cabin 157 km south of YHZ. Can't remember name of lake. Magnificent area.

Hi Rick
What part of Australia are you located in? After looking at the logistics we decided to do some touring based from Sydney before Francine moves on to her conference & I come back here, are you near Sydney?

Dear Dave,
I have been following your conversation with Rick (and getting a few laughs
along the way).
Anyway, when you arrive in Sydney & meet up with Rick, I would like to join
you as I am the builder of Elite 724E, the only one in Australia at this
stage; I might be able to "chew your ear" for some advice!!! Rick is also my
technical counsellor for this project.

Kind regards,
Greg. Gordon.

Hey Johannes,

Congratulations!!

Any chance you'll have the required 25 hours in and be able to get to
fly-in to Oshkosh? <VBG> Be nice for a Rebel to take honours there
too. What is your registration there?

Take care.

Congratulations, Johannes. It's always a great feeling
to finally see your own bird fly. You'll have lots of
fun getting to know her well. And let us know, too, how
she performs once you've done your testing. It's always
interesting to hear about another prop combo. Best of
luck.

long nose gear sticking down into the wind
landed fine no such thing as floating around up there like when it was
a taildragger

next i did 15 minutes with the gear pumped up much better! seems to
fly about 106 t o 110 a t 2400 sounds about right?

gear went back down ok landing great what a day!!! now i have to
