[rebel-builders] EliteProp&airfilter

Post by Alan Hepburn » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:01 pm

Walter:

As a matter of fact, I have both a mount and a speed cowl, but there is, of
course, a snag. The tube that goes from the lower to the upper mount on the
right side of the mount is not bent enough, and just touches the dipstick
tube, but if you're willing to do some welding, it's yours for the shipping.
And the speed cowl fiberglass is poorly laminated, so I wouldn't recommend
using at as a complete unit. But sections could be cut out and grafted in
to an existing unit.

Roger. Checked the archives for a picture of a VANS
air box install ... no
joy. Any chance you could upload a few? Sean, your
experience and lessons
learned with this is most appreciated.

Cheers, Bob 612e

No that is a the original two piece Elite cowl that
had a lot of rework done
around the air box. I have since figured out how to
put the airbox in
without
an extra 50 hours of glass work but it sure looked
cool
