[rebel-builders] Pt.Dover

Post by Drew Dalgleish » Sun Feb 19, 2012 12:12 pm

Thanks for the offer Dale. I know some sizes are available locally just
haven't checked for the brake caliper fitting yet. My plan is to put them
on the master cylinders so that I can have a complete hose for both the
wheel gear and the floats instead of taking the hose off at the top of the
floats.

I missed it to Angus. The weather in Parry Sound was crappy all day so I
just stayed over till this morning. Today was a great day for flying
climbed on top of the broken cloud and made it from McKellar lake to
Centralia in 1.6hrs. ( Minimum drive time is 4.5hrs.) had an uneventful
landing then discovered that the right brake line was blown. A couple
piroettes in the middle of the runway then I got straightened out and made
left turns back to the hangar. I'm going to try to find some of those push
lock fittings for the repair. The die spring suspension seems to work much
better at absorbing the bumps than the old pucks did.

Well, after all that rhetoric the best laid plans fell apart this morning.
I got a call-in this morning for a 24hr shift for my Fire Dept job (at
time
and a half). It seems too many guys from the opposite shift/squad booked
off
work to go to Pt.Dover. I'm posted to a rescue/pumper on the 401/402
highways so I will get to see lots of bikes.
I'll have to watch Dover on the news.
The upside is that the Rebel is ready to go now........Angus
