Any chance you can meet one of the rambles for a ride and maybe a beer?
Get to a Brampton meeting?
We did 3.2 hours on Saturday. Met up with some of the guys in
Haliburton, Ontario. Ducky on wheels. Bob Fisher on amphibs. Got me
thinking of skiis but no -must keep working on the floats in the basement...
This morning down to Brantford. Dead smooth, see forever, mist over some
lakes, Fall colors on the trees, 120 mph groundspeed throttled back to 4
gph with a tailwind, passing cars on the freeway, laughing at the city
on the horizon, only one other aircraft in the sky...
Anybody contemplating wiring should get a copy of Bob Knuckoll's
Aeroelectric connection book as there is a lot of questionable info
around and keeping it simple works very well.
BTW Aircraft Spruce wasn't really open yet. Said they would be by tomorrow.

I also am at a low point in enthusiasm, but am close to getting
the Rebel together. It is painted, engine installed and run, but
the panel is not in. I do not look forward to running a wire from
pin 19 on one instrument to pin 33 on another instrument, and then
go on to the next the next wire again and again. I hate wiring so
have put it off till the end figuring that I could not wait to get
it flying. Unfortunately wiring still does not get me excited. I
have about 60 more wires to go and have to figure in some re-do's
as I figure better wire routings and/or screw up. So I too look
for some success stories or pictures on this site.
Both of our planes have been a long time in incubation.
