Ian,
congratulation's on getting flying. Great isn't it!!
Airspeed indicatior, I had excatly the same result with our aircraft. I
installed everything as per the book and when flying alongside the chase
plane it showed we were under reading by around 15kts I took the static
tube off the encoder to the transponder folded it over with a
clothspeg, climbed to 2000 feet settled in the cruise and removed the peg
.Airspeed imediatly gained 20kts and VSI settled also these results are
now proved by GPS ,I have now still got the static line attached to the
pito tube but have fitted a tee under the instrument panel open to cabin
air as well .Have tested this with windows open which only tends to make
the readings shake a little but still acurate, same results with vents
open/closed. Hope this makes sense ,
Regards Graeme Weck 647R

G'day Graeme
Thanks for your response.
The Rebel is surely a nice 'plane to fly. However I am a little rusty with
my taildragger flying, but as long as my instructor will sit in with me I
will keep trying! I often get three or four landings in the one attempt! I
really could not be happier with the way she flys and the good manners that
she has.
You have a simple fix to the problem.
As you have seen there has been a number of replies and I will try all the
fixes until I get it right!
Thanks again
