provide the RPM's for the 54 vs 56 at full power static, or take-off (not
climb), also top RPM's for straight and level at the reflex position for
both props? I assume, the 54 would be redlined? Is it the 150 HP 0320 that
you have?
My current Warp Drive is serving me well for now, with decent climb and
cruise, but don't believe it is high performance by any means. There are
some smaller higher altitude lakes that I would like to visit, so will need
all the power I can get for take-off. I don't really care about cruise.
Would a 76 diameter finer pitch be even better or is too much for a 150 hp
0320?

Hi Shira !
You could go for a compromise prop - there are 3 pitches
of Sensenich metal prop recommended for the Rebel.
74" diameter x 54, 56, or 58 inch pitch
The 54 is climb, and the 58 is cruise - I have the 56" on
my O-320. It seems to work well for both - climb is about 1,500 fpm,
with 2 aboard, and cruise is about 125 mph at 2,450 rpm, with faired gear.
I hope to use this prop on amphibs this summer, and don't
expect any problems.

haveHello all,
I have a question to all Murphy rebel owners.
I am putting a Lycoming 0-320 on my rebel, and
we haven't decided yet which propellor to go with.
I would like to hear from those of you who have
put on the climb prop or the cruise prop. Those with
the climb prop, what is your rate of climb? and what is
your cruise speed?

I am trying to decide if it is worth having the climb prop,
because we have 160hp engine. Or is it worth having
more speed when you are in the air.
Thankyou for your responses.
