I'm getting my money's worth of posts today...
I finally figured out how to drill my ribs to the main
wing spar on my SR. Now, I'm trying to figure out how
to rivet them!? There is no way i'm going to be able
to get the 'nose' of my pneumatic riveter flat with
the spar and rib flange. What have others done? Did
you buy another riveter? I hate to bend the flanges on
the ribs as 6061 is so brittle when repeatedly bent.

Jason there should be enough "flex"in the nose rib flange to get the
riveter pushed down tight without bending the flange.

riveting ribs to wing spar
I don't remember having any trouble getting the gun on the rivet for any of
the wing ribs. Might be pushed up right against the rib causing it to flex
a little out of the way, but that won't hurt the rib.
