Prop Bolts

Post by skidaddy20000 » Mon Apr 14, 2014 5:54 am

Has any one had dealings with Saber Manufacturing for prop bolts? Much cheaper than conventional, but are they any good?

John

PS Looking for Sensenich 2.5" spacer and 1/2" bolts to go with it, if any of you are cleaning out the hangar.

Hi John,

I Installed a Saber prop spacer and crush plate using Saber bolts this winter along with
a new Catto prop.
I haven't had a chance to fly with the new assembly yet but Craig Catto recommended that I
use the Saber products to instal his prop.
Saber's workmanship is top of the line.
Wish I could tell you more but will have to wait until we can open the hangar doors.

Saber's been around for a long time John, if their stuff was no good they would have been gone long ago.

When I go back out to the hangar after lunch I'll have a boo on my spacer shelf..

John... I have a new / unused -9 (2 1/4") Sensenich spacer and a used 2 5/8" Sensenich Spacer. Both are counter bored for bushings and drilled for 7/16" bolts. No reason they couldn't be drilled up to 1/2 ", but they would also have to be opened up for the bushings as well as I think the ones for 1/2" bolts are 3/4" OD and the 7/16 and 3/8 bolt ones are only 5/8 OD. Open to any serious offer based on what you are seeing for $'s at Saber for a spacer.. and I'll do the opening work on the Bridgeport as needed.

Sounds as if you have it sorted Wayne. FWIW Prince props supply Saber spacers and bolts.
Cheers

Well I could Mike... but it might be better for John just to order one with his bolts and save a drive and me doing work... but he can decide the direction to take. lol
