Victory Honda Based Engine

Post by Roland Kriening » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:35 pm

I have heard that Jan Eggenfelner ( of Subaru Conversion Fame ) has
developed a 110hp engine based on the Honda Fit engine. I know this engine
is also used in the 90hp marine outboard and now the F4 racing circuit. I
have checked out the website, but have not had a chance to get to Osh or Sun
n Fun to see the engine. I think the pricing is around 12k with all
accessories and mount made for your aircraft. I have been digging on the
internet and from everything I can glean on this engine the aircraft
application sounds promising. I know there are still CAM 100s (Honda Civic)
flying after many years, and the marine applications are bulletproof. I
owned a Honda out board for a few years and it was indeed a fantastic
engine.

I thought I would ask my building colleagues on this list for their opinion.
Has anyone seen this new engine? Does anyone have any thoughts on the
engine?
