I have used literally hundreds of Click Bond fasteners and fixtures in
N254MR, with excellent results. Couldn't recommend them more highly. For
example, I used 1/4" nutplates for the stabilizer forward attach brackets,
#6 mini nutplates for wing and tail tips, #8 nutplates for panel overlays,
numerous swivel zip-tie bases, 10-32 threaded studs, standoffs for wing
wiring conduits, etc. The advantage of the nutplates is just one hold
instead of three, automatic centering, much faster and easier than
traditional nutplates. IMHO, great products.

You need to take some routine care to prep (clean) the surface (Scotchbrite
followed by their included swap cleaner) and they shouldn't be used FWF
(250F limitation) but with that said, out of perhaps 400, I've only had
three "fail" (turn) and those were rather obviously due to poor prep, or in
one case, using post-dated adhesive. (Keep the adhesive packs in a fridge
and they'll still be good well beyond their exp. date.)

If you'd like any more info, search for "click bond" on http://n254mr.com,
and/or contact me direct. You can purchase them from
http://theflightshop.com -- first-rate people to work with in my experience.

the key is surface preparation and bondin agent

something like JB weld should hold great on aluminium as long as the
aluminium is scuffed, cleaned cleaned again and then bonded.

try a sample if you have concerns

I have always been sceptical of about fastening anything to
metal, (especially aluminum) with an adhisive, prefering to use
a mechanical fastener. Having said that I find myself in an area
where an adhisive fastener would work better.
I guess what I would like is a word of confidence about the
integrity of the "Click Bond" system. and also an address for the
company.

Thank you. Keith Pierson
