Moose Stinger Pivot

Post by rogerk » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:23 pm

Hello

Along with other mods to the tail end, I've replaced my stinger with a piece
of spring steel of 1.040" .. This required opening out the 1" pivot to suit.
Unfortunately, my lathe was being repaired so I gave it to a local workshop.

They have mis-judged and bored it to 1.043" .. 3 thou is not much but
it does make it a bit of a loose fit. Has anyone experienced one of these
with a loose fit? Or can anyone offer any suggestions as to the effect
on the airframe? I believe it should only be an issue bouncing along the
ground but not sure how much of an issue.

I look forward to hearing anyone thoughts on this.
