Rebel doors/windows

Post by Charlie Eubanks » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:02 pm

Hello All

Have started building the cabin doors and am trying to decide if I should
attach the window to the door and let the window fold down as the manual
shows or hinge the window from the top of the door frame opening. Found all
kinds of how to info in the archives but wondered if there are any
advantages one way are the other? Would the window be more susceptible to
damage if flown with the window open? Seams like it would be easer to seal
since it could lap over both front/rear door jams and the top of the door
frame? Would take some of the weight off of the door hinge. Could complicate
installing the door locks and latches? Any thoughts are suggestions would be
appreciated.

Charlie E.
