Welcome aboard. I agree it's a little odd, but there is a gap between the
skins at the trailing edge with no rib. On the right elevator, my gap is
almost 1.25" front to back. Much less on the left. You can fill the forward
end of the gap with RTV if you like, leaving a hole for a drainage at the
trailing edge.
