In this market keith, your better to keep it and wait, you will loose an ton of cash selling now, I thought about selling but it was to great a loss

Well guys, its with a heavy heart and I hate to say this, but I have been contemplating selling my Rebel kit along with all the "extra's" I have. I know this isn't the best market to be selling but I really don't know when I will be able to get back to working on it. It has been a year and a half since I have done anything to it.

That is exactly what I have been thinking. Heck I have seen flying Rebels advertised for around $40,000 with floats. Actually one of them is not far from me. I am sure I have more than that in everything I have here. :(
I really would like to complete it and fly it but this back issue has really gotten me down.

Where are you located,

maybe you can get other builder to help,

if it paid for keep it and figure something out, don't take a bath on it, that's what I am doing, finsih what I can, keep cost down and sit on it

I'm in Northern MN. I think Si Smith may stop in to my strip this week if he can. He has built a beautiful Rebel that he displays at Oshkosh every year. His plane has been my inspiration to keep mine. Maybe if he stops in and gives me a ride I'll change my mind. :)

Just a short note. Even with your medical problems you still need
some goal and passion in life. So it takes awhile longer because of
other commitments and medical issues. You can still keep at your
dream and look forward to its finish, and take pride in your
accomplishments as they occur.

I know. I have followed my dream for a number of years. At times it
seems like it will never be finished. You bought it for a reason.
SO FOLLOW YOUR DREAM. It will be worth it in the end.

It is all paid for. I decided before I started building that I would only
build if I could buy and pay for everything up front. Still will require
FWF costs and other stuff but the main kit is all there. Thanks again
Mike....sitting on it is probably the best thing for me to do right now.
My dream has always been to build and fly my own plane.

My reason for possibly selling is due to a medical condition. I had a bad
accident many years ago that required the fusion of most of my back
including the insertion of metal rods on each side of my spine. Well, as I
have gotten older I have been having more and more problems that has
caused me to limit my activities. When I am doing well enough to do much I
am working on my house. The pain issues have caused me to greatly curtail
my work activities. It has really progressed for the worse this past year.

I still have not decided for sure if I will sell but am wanting an idea of
what I might possibly be able to sell it for.

I have the complete kit (R661), 1800 amphib kit, plus another damaged
rebel that has a Formula Power Subaru engine. This was a flying Rebel that
accumulated 300+ hrs. Both Rebels have the spring gear. I have most of the
tail completed, flapperon built and covered, one wing close to ready to be
closed up.
I would like to sell it all as one lot. At this time I will NOT sell the
floats seperately. I will sell the damaged one seperate but the floats and
kit will be sold as one AFTER the damaged one is sold.
Any ideas for what I may possibly be able to sell it for would be greatly
appreciated.
