No actually Bob P. suggested stiffners. I add an extra bulkhead to the lower
cabin...but yes just stringers to stop oil canning will do..use what ever
you have or can make up..... although with you already having .020 and .032
riveted together for a Fus-26 I don't think you really need that much more.

The triangle I spoke of goes in the lower outer floor. Between the Fus-35
corner angles and the rear 2 inch tube of the carry through...to reinforce
behind the Fus-2 gear attach bracket area....that is prone to oil canning
when on floats. This triangle is of course not needed for those guys that
have built for spring gear, as they already have a 0.063" plate there.

Hello

Wayne, you suggest me to add some stiffeners on FUS-26 between bulkhead...
ST-31
with angle bracket like the door sills, or just somes stringers for
oilcanning... I
am not sure how you figure it... And the triangle you also suggest,
where it goes?

Thanks again

Both areas are more of a float operation concern...but the Fus-26 will oil
can in any and all configurations if not doubled up or reinforced.

For the none believers...come play tunes on mine if you like as I still have
.020 fus-20's and door sills that you can pop back and forth like a tin can.
Paint still looks too good to get destructive/reconstructive though.

Jim Cole

Hi Mario, I currently have a 912ULS in my Rebel and I think it's great. It
would be even better with a variable pitch prop - maybe next year. The empty
weight is 821 pounds and I'm sure it could have been less - so you can
register is as an Ultralight or Experimental - I'm not sure if that is an
issue in Brazil??

Cheers

Hello Mario

Rotax: light, economic on gas, reliable, expensive to buy, not so many mecanics..
Lycoming: heavier, reliable, cheap (used) but more expensive to maintain, many mecanics...

If I could have a nice gift... I would take a new Rotax 912S (100 hp) but I pay... so I have a use (rebuilt) O-235 that I will put on mine!

Hi Craig
A few days back you mentioned owning a plane might be nice so as to be able
to get some flying in. I still have my ultralight (LSA now) and
periodically come to some maintenance thing. Even for minor things, the
time adds up and is just one more thing that eats into build time. Flying
my LSA is fun, but renting has it's advantages.
