Steve

I saw your Rebel when I was at Oshkosh two years ago and took several
pictures at the time to help me finish mine. I made my first engine run a
week ago but noticed that I had a leak from the carb. I think I have found
the source of the leak and repair parts are on order. Thanks for the info.
Our field elevation is 2100 and on these hot summer day the density alt is
well above 4000. I can't wait to see how my Rebel performs.

Hi Hank
Just back from Osh. I have the 0-320-B2B de-rated to 150 hp. Most of the
time in the 29.1 hrs round trip I was at gross or close to it. Came out of
several northern montana strips yesterday with density altitudes in excess
of 4500 feet. Still climbed at about 800 fpm 70-75 mph. I have a
conventional cowl and didn't see any cyl temps over 335 (in the climb) and
the oil around 195 in the climb. At 2450 or so, cruises about 95 kts at 7.5
us gal per hour.
Tired!
