Not no mention the fact that the "D" section is incredibly strong. At least
on my Super Rebel it doesn't oil can at all when pressed upon. Seems like I
could stand on it and not hurt it.

Y'all are probably dead on. I think the SR L E skin is thicker than the
rebel so that helps. Actually, now that ours is cleco'd in position, it's
very strong-feeling. The 150 I fly is softer in this area.

An .032 STOL cuff is also a very good way to stiffen the leading edge...

Angus sells a STOL leading edge for the Rebel. I plan on getting the parts from him soon.
Check the archives...there has been quite a bit said about it. Also Bob should pipe in here any minute and tell you the virtues of having it. :)
