I filled off mostly on the gear leg and went for a snug fit. I fit the
saddle to the leg off the airplane and tightened the saddle to the leg after
it was in place. I cut holes in the bottom of the sills to access the
saddle bolts.

saddlesAnyone here with experience mating the main gear legs to the saddles
(FUS-309/FUS-310) on the SR? I understand they are to slide into the
legsand that the fit should be tight. I've rounded the corners of the gear
opento match the radius in the saddles. I've filed the sides of the gear legs
slightly to clean them up, and filed the inner sides of the saddles to
saddlesthem up from 4.975" to 4.90". The gear leg is 5.005" wide, so it's still
about .015" to big. File off too much and the gear will eventually slide
around and enlarge the saddles through use. Should I keep filing the
