Scott tail wheel

You can use them Murray...just know what you have and make sure that you use
the brake pedal and power to pull ahead straight and don't go pushing the
rudder pedal to the floor while standing still.

Roger:

Thanks Wayne. I wasn't aware for the need to have the Scott springs
either.
I am using my original springs. I will however get the right ones. Thanks
again Wayne.

Hi Murray,

When you changed to the Scott 3200 tailwheel did you change tailsprings
also?
If so could you advise what tailspring you are now using?

Thanks,

That's OK Wayne. I guess I wasn't too clear but I was actually wondering if
Murray had gotten rid of the MAM aluminum leaf(?)spring and is using some
other leaf spring (like your utility trailer leaf spring mod),or if he was
still using the stock MAM spring.

But thanks for your tip also.

Roger:

I still have the aluminum tail spring. It seems to work fine. Sorry I
misunderstood your question at first.

Good luck
Murray

Garry Wright

Scott tail wheel

Post by Garry Wright » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:13 am

I am installing a Scott 3200 tailwheel on FOKM and am looking for the
tension springs. ACS offers P/N 2151 lightweight Spring Kit Scott for
$44.20 on page 244 of their catalog and also P/N 06-00008 Heavy duty
tension spring kit on page 242 for $19.90 - also associated with the
Scott.

Anyone know which is the proper one to coordinate with the strength of
the arm assembly? It looks like the heavy duty springs might be
associated with the 3200A???

Garry
