Well, these are the things that have drawn me to the Rebel, also I amYou are right - they are both high quality, well engineered kits,
from solid, stable manufacturers. It really comes down to the kind of
flying you want to do..... If you want to fly floats sometime, or
enjoy flying & camping, flying into small, rough strips with lots of
gear, then the Rebel's for you !!
interested in a high wing for easier entry / exit and better ground
visibility while flying around. Weight is also an issue as I am 250lbs and
want to be able to carry a passenger and some gear.
Thus far I am thinking of either the 235, or 0-320 for power options. IYou have your choice of MANY different engines,
as well, and don't have to choose until your Rebel is completed right
up to the front door .. leaving lots of time to shop.
have been cruising the archives to "catch up" a bit and it still isn't
clear to me what the difference is between the Rebel and the Elite? I am
interested in a Tail Dragger with 0-320 (most likely) with float attach,
but no floats initially, Spring gear???? The only thing I get from the
factory specs is a higher gross weight, however that was brought into
question in the archives as not much of an issue as the elite was heavier.
Was the design principle just to add tri gear, or what?
Of course that is very evident and I am greatfull. Thanks for the adviseIf you DO decide on a Rebel, there is LOTS of experienced
help available here on the list !!
