Plastic Float Access Cover Fix

Yes, the main problem with MAM's is that the aluminum deck flexes, and the plastic female outer inserts then crack, not the cap itself. That's what these SS retainer rings prevent, and they do work as I have used them now for a whole season. I was even able to continue using some of my existing plastic covers that had started to crack, and it holds them together, too, no problem.

Anyway, it's up to you guys, and whoever wants them let me know now, as this will probably be the last chance to get these ones.

I still say the best solution to the black plastic covers is to remove them
and throw them away!! Replace with .040 round alum covers and 6 screws into
tinnerman nuts. Weather strip foam around the underside keeps the rain water
out of the floats. Install pump out cups/hoses and there is no need to get
in there anyhow.... unless you're doing your fall "mop out" and in that case
a cordless screwdriver makes quick work of popping all the covers off to do
so.

I agree with Wayne. He did FOKM as described and the metal version is
absolutely trouble free, and probably the lightest choice of any
possibility. I have had them on and off swapping the floats back and
forth and they are easy to use and close to indestructible.
