tank sealant

Post by Jean Poirier » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:13 am

Hello!

Yesterday after the message of Roger, I went to the Vans web site and print the article about proseal. Ysterday night, I mixed some proseal ("B" type) and than add some toluene to diluate. WOW! Everything was already done, except rivet head (and the top). Have you ever try to cover rivet with un-diluated preseal? But when diluted, you apply it with a small acid brush... without glove! So my new receipe is: undiluated in caulking tube for first application, and then recover every joint and rivet with the "KFC secret receipe"!!!

Instead of a brush to do the kisses, cut end of chalking nozzel just
slightly larger then rivet. keeping a light feed of proseal in nozzel,
just shove nozzle over each rivet. Fast, clean and neat..

Not to worry. There will be enough opportunities to bang your head on a
brick wall!!
Is that where the "halo" comes from?
