Moose Seafin End Rib

[Warren & Marg Montgomery]

After having a digital camera for over two years I finally got a card
reader and can now upload.

I've just uploaded three pics of my seafin end rib under horizontal
stab. It's made from .040 stock left over from when I tore off the tank
skins to increase to 120 usg.. That's why there are a couple of extra
1/8" holes at mid point. The other holes were for alignment so both ends
have identical mounting pattern. I made up a form from 3/4" plywood and
it worked great first time. Used conventional film for that and will
upload later. Used 8 anchor nuts instead of six to clear holes. Also
figured a double row of rivets wouldn't hurt and solves the corner wrap
issue. Note all the countersinking and dimpling. Ya I know compulsive
dimpler. The green stuff is stronium chromate epoxy primer as used
on the heavy metal. It just dosn't look finished until it's green!

Also trimed back the skin about 1/16" to 3/32" for minimum rivet edge distance to allow clearance for seafin to elevator balance.

Mike,
I think we crossed paths and you must have resized before I re uploaded.
Please delete as required.
My digitals now toast so back to film I guess. Had it apart about a
dozen times in the last two hours and can't seem to find the fault.
Seems to be a broken connection to the shutter so will try again and do
a continuity check when I've had some sleep!
