Anyone out there use the swing up window only like piper did with their
tandem models? Was looking and Bob DURRANT's Rebel in Edmonton a while ago
and felt that the door assembled with the window was quite flimsy; maybe
because of it's weight? It shud have enough clearance to swing up and be
retained with the catch that Murphy provide. I forget who made the comment
on the Zenair floats 1900's awhile ago but I wasn't too disapointed with what
I saw on the plans. Has anyone had any experience with any of their floats-
the larger ones 1500-1650-1900's? Performance? Thanks to all

T'wus me that made the Zenair "slur"! I'm obviously by no means a Heinz
"groupie" and have a hard time with his function only designs, that lack the
fit and form that should complete the three "F's"! We also live 10 miles
apart and "knock heads" occasionally, but do respect each others opinons for
what that's worth!

Do the 1900's have more than 4 compartments like his 960 and 1150's do??
Really scary with the 960 and 1150 amphibs when the 4 compartments are made
up of two large ones and two tiny ones that just flank each side of the
wheel area. This give a single puncture the capability of putting over 450
to 500lbs of water in a single compartment, that is either ahead or behind
the C of G range of the aircraft. There is only one thing that will happen
if you get into this situation and I hope it happens before you get her
anywhere near airborne!

As for the window, that's what mine does! Window opens up and then the lower
door opens out in the normal Cessna fashion.
