Hi Warren

There are (at least) three ways you can set the preference for browsers. If you
are running Windows 2000 with service pack 3 it is easy, go to add remove
programs in the control panels & select the tab for application preferences (or
whatever they call it) then select your choice of browser. It may be the same
for Win XP but I haven't gone there as any Microsoft OS is not stable until they
have a couple of service packs released and I prefer to let others de-bug it for
me.

The other way to change the prefs is to go to a file of the type you want to
open and right click it and select properties and where it says: opens with,
then select change and then select Netscape.

The third way (in Netscape 7) is easy too. Go to edit --> preferences-> and
under Navigator click: set default browser.

I am in full agreement about the IE contamination, I hate it when that thing
starts because someone sends me a link that makes it start. I also prefer
Netscape because you can actually search your bookmarks unlike IE.

OK, down off the soapbox and back to building....hope this was helpful.

Cheers,

Dave (who wishes Solidworks were sold for Macs).

Sorry I can't help you there Warren... I haven't used Netscape in probably 6
years. Whether one likes Micro$oft or not... IE works, so I use it.
