Brian:

My Norton AV (2002) automatically checks all my outgoing e-mail for any
virus's.
My Zonearlarm checks all incoming mail and I also believe the Norton also
checks it.
Zonealarm is a free software and also stops hackers from getting into your
cpu.
You can get it at www.zonearlarm.com . I purchased the PRO version that
lets you track back to whoever was trying to get into your computer.
($29.95) When running this software they don't even know your on line. You
get a message that someone tried to get into your computer instead and they
are blocked. Check out the web site. I used the free version for about a
year, than upgraded. You'd be surprised how many times it stopped traffic
trying to get into my computer from ALL over the world. Most of the time
it's from the far east or one of the eastern block countries. It works like
a fire wall.

The reason all e-mail is checked on the way out is because if I load
something from a disk that I received from someone and it had a virus on it
and it gets into my system, I don't spread it around to everyone else.

Hey Steve,

OK. Thank you for the reply and advice. I'll give that a try. All
I've used for the past 5 years is Norton AV.

Season's Best to You and Yours.
