VIRUS

Post by Steve Halvorsen » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:37 pm

Sorry if I jumped the gun but my incoming e-mail checker put it into
quarantine when it was received. I'm using Zonealarm Pro. If an e-mail is
set up with certain extensions that the different virus's use it stops it.

I also checked it with Norton and it said it was clear.

Sorry for the inconvenience I may have caused anyone but better safe than
sorry. I've received some and it's no fun to get everything cleaned up
again. I'm gun shy.

My e-mail is also checked on the way out to make sure that if I get one I
don't give it to anyone else.

Steve

VIRUS

Post by Brian Lawson » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:37 pm

Hey Steve,

I agree. Better safe than sorry.

I do have a quick question though. I've seen the same tag-line on
email from others...that is about checking it out-bound as well. How
would an AV program pick up on an outgoing email, and assumedly find a
virus that it didn't find a problem with when it was inbound? Or do I
misunderstand the meaning?

Take care. Season's Best.
