O320 for sale
O320 for sale
If someone wants to add about $2000US to that $13,000US, and give it too me, you can have a FRESHLY OVERHAULED (by ATC) O-320-A2B engine (conical mount), that has been dyno run to confirm all perimeters are correct. Note that the water dyno run is a $1000cdn expense alone!!!
I have one wide deck and one narrow deck left. The wide deck can be built as 150 or 160 HP (your choice at this point) and the narrow deck 150HP only. Both are currently at ATC being disassembled for complete go over. These are first run engines (less than 2000TT) that were freshly overhauled in 1994, or so, in Israel for the Ugandan Government's Super Cubs. Since they have sat for 8 years we are tearing them completely down and overhauling them again and performing ALL current airworthiness directives SB's etc (oil pump, crank gear, crank gear bolt, mag coils etc etc). This price is of course complete with overhauled mags, proper overhauled 10-3678-32 carburetor, new mag harness/plugs, new skytec lightweight starter, new Niagara Airparts (CAM) mini 40 amp self regulating alternator, starter ring/flywheel etc. A complete running engine, that has been dyno run to confirm a successful overhaul and the computer print outs to prove it.
The first wide deck is done, at 160HP, and ready to run on the dyno BUT it's already sold. These are not "backyard overhauls" as you may buy from other places when they state "overhauled for Homebuilt usage", but are done right to new tolerance limits etc and to give you an idea of the extent we have gone/are going on these engines the following NEW items were installed on the first one:
Gasket Kit
Main and Rod bearings
Crankgear Bolt per AD 91-14-22
Oil Pressure Relief spring/ball
Camshaft lifter bodies
CAM Oil Pump housing, gears and drive per AD 96-09-10
Rocker Bushings
Exhaust valve guides
Intake and Exhaust valve keys
Piston Pins
4 new Pistons to make it 160HP
Piston Rings
Intake and Return hoses
Intercylinder Baffles
Exhaust studs
Oil Screen Housing and screen
Magneto harness
Spark Plugs
Magneto Rotors
Contact assemblies
Carbon Brushes/Seals/Bushings etc
Carb gasket kit
Pump Connecting Rod
Throttle spring
One piece Venturi
Plunger assembly
Throttle arm shaft and bushings
Reconditioned Flywheel and new starter ring gear
Skytec #122-12PM Lightweight Starter
CAM 40 Amp alternator and mounting kit
Price can be adjusted if you are a gambler and don't want the dyno run and/or do not need the starter or alternator. Can also work with you if you wanted to go to electronic mags etc, if we know before we are too far into the overhaul process. That way I can skip overhauling the Bendix or Slick mag pair that I have for each engine and put a Lasar mag or whatever you wanted on it instead, on a cost exchange basis.
If anyone is ready for an engine that will last them their life time please contact me directly at oifa@irishfield.on.ca (oifa@irishfield.on.ca)
Thanks,
Wayne
