Anyone going to Airventure next week? Looking at a Murphy and would really like to see one up close.

I’m here. Please see me and I’ll walk you over to booth and we can discuss. There will likely be some in homebuilt camping. I’ll be at the homebuilt camping pavilion area. Ask for me

Is there a group gathering like PAS had in the past? When will you be at the homebuilt pavillion?

I work in the homebuilt camping pavilion. I haven’t heard from bob patterson yet. But I’ll try to organize something for Tuesday early afternoon. 3 pm?

OK, Was at OSH and went to the Murphy booth - looks like they had a radical there (flying I think) a try Gear Moose without wings and a try-gear Rebel with a Rotax 912is on it. I Spoke for a while with a couple of factory folks, the sales person and the main engineer who is working on the Rotax/Rebel and brining the Rebel back into production (of note, the Rebel in the booth was a split aileron/flap wing, not a flatiron wing.
We talked about lack of responsiveness, and lack of communication by the factory. They said they were working on it and the new Chinese owners had given them a lot of backing and leeway to allow them to do the right thing.

Lets hope that things get better - I loved the Rotax Ring mount availability, if that had been there two years ago, my airplane would have a 915 Is (turbo) engine on it, and not the Titan, less HP up to about 5,000', then the Rotax would walk away from the Titan, and lighter to boot.

I am rooting for the factory to do well and giving them the benefit of the doubt for the first year or so.
