Lightspeed plasma coil mounting

Hi all,
My Rebel has an 0-320 with a magneto and a Lightspeed Plasma 2 plus electronic ignition, which works very well. It came from the engine manufacturers with the electronic ignition coils mounted on a bracket attached to the upper joint between the crankcase halves within the chamber formed between the upper cowl and the baffles, which seems to be standard practice from the photos I've seen on Lightspeeds website.

I've heard stories of the coils failing at about 300/400 hours from some "experts" around here. I guess the mounting position would subject them to high temperatures at times.
Has anybody had any problems like this?
Would it be better to mount the coils on the firewall? Or on the engine mount tubing outside the baffles, which Lightspeed suggest as an option........or anywhere else?
Mine have been performing very happily for a bit over 300 hrs, just wondering if I should move them or not.
All comments appreciated.
Cheers
Mike

G'day Mike ...

That's where I mounted my LSE coils as well ........ and where they will get a constant stream off cool air coming in

500 PLUS hours above a sooped up IO-320 and no problems ......
