N25SR First Flight

Post by Jerry Folkerts » Wed Jan 24, 2018 5:45 pm

Today, at high noon, N25SR took to the skies for approximately 45 minutes. The flight was relatively uneventful with only a few minor discrepancies. Notably, the airplane was really fast and I wasn’t able to get it up to the 75% power range for adequate engine break in procedures. We had cloud cover at 2500 ft limiting my ability to climb. Consequently, it wanted to go too fast and I had to throttle back more than I wanted. It’s going to be a real performer. No adverse handling characteristics. Awesome landing. More pictures and video later as they come in from the ground crew.

Jerry
Awesome accomplishment.
Now to enjoy the fruits of all the hair-pulling, lip biting, cussin & throwing tools!
If it’s half as much fun as a Rebel you’re in for many real treats.
Paul, in Sunny No. Florida
PS. That plane BEGS for BIG tires!

Huge accomplishment, Jerry!!!

After break in, squawk fixing and tweaking you are free to roam around the country.

Great job.

Would be fun to add captions -- "you can't catch me" or, "get that gnat off my tail" or?????
