Progress

Post by Jerry Folkerts » Wed Jun 17, 2015 5:21 pm

I've been pulling wires on my Super Rebel and finally, I had to go ahead and cut into the instrument panel. I made the radio stack cutout at home, as well as the cut out for the VM1000C Engine Monitor, then, I pulled out my "Lucky" card. I'm fortunate to live close to Charlie Eubanks, and with my panel in hand, headed for Troy Airpark and Charlie's wonderful machine shop basement. Charlie had a fly cutter that he machined himself, it's more accurate than anything you can buy, as well as some magnificent machined instrument mounting hole drill templates. In a few short hours, everything was complete except switch positions and the glove box. Picture below and PDF of Instrument Panel Plan.

Looks great, Jerry. Good to see you making good progress. Charlie is a great guy. He was very helpful during my build. Craig
