The Super Rebel and Moose ride on tracks and have a spring loaded pin that drops into holes. The problem is with the split rings Murphy uses to lift the pins -- I have not found any sufficiently strong to not bend apart within one or two flights. It takes roughly 30 minutes to replace them. This is very frustrating. Has anyone come up with a better design?
Thanks,

Re: Frustrated with Seat Adjusting Mechanism
Hi Jerry,
I bought the thickest, strongest key rings I could find at the hardware shop which have done the trick. I had your problem until I found the right rings.
Cheers
Mike

If you have any RC glider clubs in your area that do winch launching ask them where they get their rings. A big 3m glider will generate almost 300 pounds of line tension during the launch so they need pretty solid split rings.
