I'm looking for a one foot long piece of 6016 T6 2 inch diameter, .040 thickness tubing. There are two small tubes on the Super Rebel that go between the flap horns at the root end of the flaps and the flap torque tube inside. Last year, I got anxious and cut them based on an estimate -- now they are a bit too short.
All I've found on line with the suppliers is .049 thickness, and the end caps won't go into that. I could machine the end caps down, but prefer not to do that. The actual thickness may be .039, my measurement was .040 but have only found reference to .039 on line.
If anyone has an extra piece laying around, please give me a call at six three six, seven nine one, three five three six. If not, I'll give the factory a call. Just hoping to not have to wait for it to sit in customs in Seattle for an extra week.
Thanks

Re: Need a piece of Tubing
Jerry,
We used to supply .035" wall tubing until it became difficult to get. We had to switch to .049" wall tubing and alter the diameter of the end plugs to suit. You would have one of these two sizes supplied in your kit. It sounds as if you have .035. Yes, you can machine the end plugs to fit .049 tubing.
Cheers,
Nigel
