New Murphy Support Fee?
New Murphy Support Fee?
I've been told by a builder who emailed/called the factory (within the last week) that Murphy Aircraft is now implementing a new $100 per year technical support fee. Has anyone else heard this? What's particularly interesting in this case is the builder called the factory to purchase additional parts--if true, why would the factory want to charge a $100/yr support fee just to then be able to sell parts?

Re: New Murphy Support Fee?
I saw that on the factory website two years ago. It stated it was for the re-sale kit owners that didn't buy from MAM and had tech questions. Since I was buying 3500 upgrade parts, I never asked the question. I didn't see it on the website the last time I looked. Paul

This particular builder is an original kit purchaser. Go figure
Re: New Murphy Support Fee?
It was on the web site for some time - don't know if it still is ....
Support was provided for 3 years from original purchase, to the original buyer only,
then it was $99/year after that, and for subsequent buyers.
They haven't always enforced it, and tracking wasn't tight ...
