border crossing without transponders

Bob,

I still have no transponder in FOKM. Last summer I used the border
crossing at Del Bonita to "drive across the border". In this case one
must not file a flight plan because they will yell at you that you need
a transponder when you are not actually crossing in any way they define
as requiring a transponder.

In any event, to your knowledge is this dodge still working and workable
for my return home thru Piney or Coutts or Del Bonita after OSH?

How many planes are you expecting in the flight from Chilliwack to
Arlington?
