Things have changed a LOT .... as we found on this latest trip.
Customs wants to see:
- Passport - now a 'must have' !
- other photo ID, with addresss - preferrably Drivers licence
- aircraft Certificate of Registration
(Temporary reg. - i.e. Transfer documents NOT allowed !)
- aircraft Certificate of Airworthiness
(on their list - but not requested this time ...)
- Pilots Licence
- Pilots Medical Certificate - better be current !!
(They know what to look for ....)
They will also likely have a look through the aircraft, and might
want to go through bags as well ! Don't know what they will accept
for an ultralight .... A U.S. SFA letter might do ... best to check
with EAA.

Subject: [rebel-ramble] Ramble maps finalized !
Hi Ramblers !!
The map package details are finalized - check out the
web site !!
We've opened up the 'Registered Ramblers' web site to
all - it's:
http://www.prosumers.ca/Ramble07/index2.html
The map detail is on the Maps page, and you can download
& print the Ramble Maps PDF from the left of that page.
The package is just a convenience - you can add or delete
maps if you want --- and we've shown some possibilities on
the list. Some of this will depend on where you intend to
join in - and how far you will go ... The folks at VIP Pilot
Centre are very helpful !
Because some of the maps expire in June, they aren't
available yet, so your best bet is to order NOW, telling them
to ship as soon as the new maps come in. That will let them order
enough for everyone now, and you should receive all of the
necessary maps by the 3rd week in June - still time to
study them before we go ! :-)
We'll be going over the route on old maps at the
Ramble Planning Meeting on Sunday, June 3rd, at the
RAA Clubhouse, north end of Brampton airport, starting
at 10:30 AM -- so we can get you away by about 3 pm ...
Please bring photos, any maps you might want to mark up,
and any 'things to bring' that you have found useful for
camping - tents, bags, air mattresses, clothing - anything
for 'show 'n tell' that might help others !
We'll have some coffee & donuts .... etc. :-)
If it's raining, we can still set up demo tents, chairs,
camp cots, etc. in the hangar ...
