[rebel-ramble] Rebel Ramble 07 list - Jan. 21 - complete

Posted: Mon Feb 20, 2012 5:47 am
by HP
Hello Brian,

Did you find a spare seat?

I have not yet decided if I am going on this year's Ramble., but I have done it before in 2000, I know all about it.

I have a 1977 Cessna 172 with everything except an auto pilot, this is where you would come in.
I don't follow roads and railway tracks like the rest of the bunch, I fly direct, so I always leave last. I have been from
Alaska to the Bahamas ... have been around for a while, but don't do many hamburger flights..

I also do not camp, but will stay at other accommodations. Too old for that, no longer a boy scout ..... ha!

There is a 250 lb. load limit though including baggage, since I always carry full fuel.

I hope you will find a seat .... if not, keep me in mind as a last resort.

Horst Peick

PS: I fly out of Waterloo.

Hi Horst,
Thanx for the email and sorry for the delay in this reply.
No, still haven't got a seat but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a berth
in a Rebel as I am building one and would really enjoy the experience.
Will sure keep your email on file and see what happens as we get closer to
the departure date.
Cheers
Brian
PS. I am with you as regards to the accommodation!!

Hi Horst,

Many thanks for your invitation to join you on the Rebel Ramble.

Because I am building R779 I am still trying to connect with a rebel seat as
per the email I just sent out to rebel_ramble@dcsol.com

I may not be able to get a seat as I can only do the Alberta through the
rocks to BC leg. That probably means that I will not get a response at all.

However, "nothing ventured nothing gained" as they say.

I know what you mean about camping. My philosophy re camping is very simple:
I will camp, providing its in a Hilton heh! heh!

Cheers

Brian
