Customs Decals

Hi Ramblers !!

If you don't already have your customs decals, there's
still time to order them. You need these to fly in the USA.
They CAN be purchased at the time of crossing, BUT you
don't actually GET the sticker, just a receipt, and this can
cause hassles enroute -- they mail you the sticker later !

I ordered my decal online on Monday, for $27.50 -
they've gone up a bit ! Paid the $12 extra for fast delivery
(the ONLY way to be sure you'll get it in time !).
The Decal came by UPS on Wednesday !!! This is good !

The address to order is:

http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/forms/

and the form you want is: Customs form 339-A
Annual User fee Decal Request.

The site takes you to a place where you must
set up an account, by choosing a login name & password,
THEN log in, and set up a Payment account - record your
credit card info, THEN enter an order for the Decal &
fast shipping.... Three steps, but it does work !!

While you are at the first web site, you should also
print off several copies of: Customs form 178 -
Private Aircraft Enforcement System Arrival Report

You should fill in as much as possible ahead of time,
and have one ready to hand in to US Customs,
whenever we cross the border.
