I'm not sure about the Screw-its - have seen something
similar, combined with a center plate like the Fly Ties -
think it was called Alaska Tie Down -- can't find a link for it.
The 3 'mini - Nelsons' combined with a plate would be a
good setup for many conditions.
The Nelson style cable tiedown works very well, but heavy,
and can be useless in some soil types. Actually, the differing
soils are the biggest challenge - some are sandy, many have
heavy dirt & rocks .... You almost need a couple of different
types of tie-down stakes !! Oshkosh is particulary challenging !
Think I would trust the Fly Tie more than The Claw ....
Personally, have gone back to the doggie tie screws - they're
delicate, but the trick is to tie around the base, NOT use the
top loop OR rings, except as rope guides. They can work well
if used in pairs, in an "X" setup, tieing around the center of
the X.... Big advantage is they are cheap, and readily available
if you need replacements enroute. Good to have about 6,
or more, of them !

sound VERY good - the titanium will solve the fragility problem !
Sounds like it would not be too hard to make up something
like the Fly Tie - getting the rods would be the challenge ....
Sharpened 1 1/2" aluminum angle can work well too - and smaller
bits make good wheel chocks.
Will keep an eye out at Sun 'n Fun - usually see something
good on sale at the shows ..

An interesting document on tie downs. One thing I never thought of was
digging the mainwheels into a depression to act as chocks and lower the
wing angle in strong winds.
Any thoughts on whether the Fly Ties or the Claw (half the price) is a
better portable tie down? Or something homemade?
