Greetings,

I am sending this email to all my friends, relatives, aviation and bu
siness
associates to ask you to lend a hand in saving the Banff and Jasper
Airstrips from destruction.
As most of you know I am on the board of directors of the Canadian Ow
ners
and Pilots Association (COPA) as well as a pilot, aircraft owner and
airport
owner. One of my special interests has been working to prevent Parks
Canada
from closing the Banff and Jasper airstrips.

Will keep you posted on plans for the next Ramble fly 'n camp
trip - there's a good chance we'll be going by Banff ! :-) :-)

belief, and that of many other people more knowledgeable than I, that the
closing of the Banff and Jasper airstrips will cause people to die. That
should represent a heavy responsibility to Parks Canada. Perhaps restrict
their use to a true emergency role if that is absolutely necessary. But
close them permanently? Surely not.
