Bob. Cheched your message and you have stirred my senses. Before I commit
could you please answer a few questions that I have. I presume that any
passengers cost would be basically food and lodging if needed? not fuel. How
long is your intention to stay barring no unforseen problems. Is it factory
that you are going to?If you have someone else thats great. A word in passing.
I have afair few relatives along the whole way and most of them have beds.
Departure date might be a slight problem as I have relatives her now from
Manitoba. Please get back to me as you can Jack wiebe

to B.C. sometime in the next week or so ..... depending on the
weather, and getting some work cleaned up, and other stuff.

I'm wondering if there's anybody who'd like an adventure
for a week or so ??? The timing is VERY variable, as the weather
can be unpredictable this time of year - might get stuck somewhere
for several days ! I'd like some company for the trip - light
map reading duties might be balanced by beer drinking in the
evenings ! ;-)

Hi Jack !

(Have to be careful with that greeting !!! ;-) )

Yes ! The only cost would be food, and we can share rooms if
you're up for it - and I don't snore tooooo loud ! :-)

Only other thing would be airfare home, as I'll likely be
out there for 3 weeks or so .... Plan is to get the Rebel painted,
and amphibs installed, at the Chilliwack Airport (Firkus Aircraft),
and help out at the factory, as they're short of sales staff.

Just found out that the amphibs are delayed slightly, so might
not leave until next week now .... will know better by Wed.

Have a couple of interested folks, but they have possible timing
problems, too..... Suspect it <could> take more than a week to get
out there, if the weather's bad - never done it this late in the year !

Will keep you posted.

---- TRIP UPDATE !!! ----

For those who might have been having timing problems, it looks
like you might be able to come anyway ....

The amphibs might not get through Customs until about the 10th,
or later, so it looks like I won't be able to leave until at least
about the 7th or maybe later. Should know better by next Wednesday,
and will keep everybody updated. I expect to be out there for about
2 or 3 weeks, over and above the week or so each way for travel.

Thanks for the offers of company - still don't have anyone
definite, so let me know if you can come along on this adventure !
It might take a week or more just to get out there, as weather in
The Rocks can be unpredictable - or we might just make it in 4 days !
In any case, you'll see a lot of Canada, some USA, and meet some
interesting people ! (Please include a phone number, in case I
don't have it !)

More news as soon as I have it ....

Bob, Got your reply. Did some soul searching and find that there are too many
obstacles in my path at this time.for me to go. I am sure it would have been a
gas. Hope someone will decide to go on this fun trip

Only other thing would be airfare home, as I'll likely be
out there for 3 weeks or so .... Plan is to get the Rebel painted,
and amphibs installed, at the Chilliwack Airport (Firkus Aircraft),
and help out at the factory, as they're short of sales staff.

Just found out that the amphibs are delayed slightly, so might
not leave until next week now .... will know better by Wed.

Have a couple of interested folks, but they have possible timing
problems, too..... Suspect it <could> take more than a week to get
out there, if the weather's bad - never done it this late in the year !

Will keep you posted.

it's a long ride ... could be interesting at this time of year !!
