Ramble 2001 Update

Hi Ramblers !

Sorry for the delay this year !! Just back from Sun 'n Fun -
had to fly the Elite on amphibs up to Chicago, then the new
Super Rebel 3500 back to Brampton for the Toronto Aviation Show....
(tough life ;-) )

Plans are starting to come together - we've just received
confirmation from the CVVQ (Quebec Gliding Club) that we're very
welcome to visit their airfield at St. Raymond, north-west of Quebec
City. This is a great place to stop at, as there's a nice motel &
restaurant nearby, and friendly car dealers who can rent us vans
to drive into the romantic old city ! They also have limited
facilities for camping, for those so inclined.

Quebec will be our second stop, after Sherbrooke, for the
"Fauchers de Marguerites" Fly-In, on June 30th. (Anybody up for
leaving early - like maybe Friday, June 29th, in case of weather,
or just to get a head-start ????!!!) We hope to pick up participants
along the way this time, as in the past.

COPA have said they can arrange for camping at Peterborough,
as well, which will likely be necessary, as motels will be filled !

Some Ramblers will likely continue East from Quebec to
Riviere Du Loup, and south into New Brunswick & PEI, on their
way to Newfoundland !! We'll do all we can to help, but just can't
go that far this year ...

The Ramble Notices are finalized - hope to get some printed
for the Toronto Aviation Show, as handouts. See you there !

We're trying to get a Ramble newsletter finished before the
Ramble meeting at Brampton RAA on June 2th, at 1 pm. ... will get
it done when I get back from flying the SR-3500 back to BC, the
first week in May .... Thay'll go out to all those who are
registered by then.

The registration confirmations are trickling in -
please let us know if you can join us this year !
